Home Care Providers – Safeguarding Independence
Published May 4, 2016 by Francesca Robinson, MA in Home Care Services

Last week was our Preferred Care at Home annual conference where owners from across the nation gather to learn, grow, and encourage one another. It is one of my favorite times of the year, and serves as a great reminder of how driven and passionate Preferred Care at Home owners are in their quest to provide quality senior home care services. Our conference took place at The Seagate Hotel, a local hotel in Delray Beach, Florida, less than a mile from our Franchise Headquarters. As we soaked up ocean air we also soaked up renewed vision and eagerness to serve seniors and families in our communities.
As I looked around the conference room at the faces of Preferred Care at Home representing New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Louisiana, Missouri, Virginia, Georgia, Texas and Florida, I thought, “Everyone here loves what they do–they love senior home care.” These owners live for the opportunity to come along side those who want to remain in their beloved home, providing the extra care needed. It is an incredible honor to be brought into a family and serve along side, allowing family members to hand over their role as caregiver and return to the sacred role of son or daughter, husband or wife.
As the week progressed, it was clear, these men and women are not simply home care providers, they are safeguarders of independence. As safeguarders of independence they understand how difficult it can be to ask for help. The fear of losing your independence may prevent you from asking for much needed senior home care assistance. They understand this fear, but like you, they don’t want you to lose your independence. In fact, their mission is to help you maintain independence in your home, receiving the type of senior care you want, when and where you want it.
If you, or a senior loved one, have questions about in-home care, it may be time–time to call a safeguarder of independence, and ask for help. When you call you can expect to be greeted with kindness and compassion. You can also expect to have your questions answered and your concerns alleviated. Preferred Care at Home is committed to providing reliable, compassionate, and affordable care…we promise!
