A long term care policy is only worth what your family can actually claim from it. Many South Miami families pay premiums for years, then meet the paperwork, the elimination period, and the weekly documentation at the worst possible moment. We handle the claim side so the benefit your family already paid for goes to work.
We’ve been helping families with in-home care since 1984. Our local office is owned by Natalie Caldwell and Ricky Greene, neighbors who understand South Miami-Dade County. When you call, you reach an owner directly, not a distant call center.
Every caregiver on our long term care insurance support team is screened through our 7-step process. Each one is matched to your family by personality, not just availability, using background checks, skills assessments, and a personality evaluation. The person walking through your door feels right for your family from day one.
Family members get real-time access to schedules, caregiver notes, and updates through our Transparency Room portal. You always know how your loved one is doing, even when you live outside South Miami. For adult children managing care from a distance, that access brings genuine peace of mind.
A policy does not start paying simply because your loved one is getting older. Carriers generally require a diagnosis of dementia, or documented need for help with two of the five activities of daily living. We help South Miami families work out where they stand before a claim is ever filed.
Others reach out when a policy they have paid into for years has been sitting unused and they are not sure how to begin a claim. Whatever the reason, we handle the claim paperwork while our caregivers support daily living at home. Your family can focus on emotional well being, not managing treatments alone, and doctors stay informed the whole time.
A long term care insurance policy is a private contract, not a government programme, and every carrier words it differently. We work with the major carriers every week and know what each one wants to see before it will release a payment.
Families rarely see the administrative side of a claim, but it decides whether money arrives on time. We send the required documentation to your carrier weekly, manage the carelogs and invoices, and keep reimbursement moving to the policy holder instead of stalling for months.
Every plan caters to your loved one’s exact diagnosis, not a one-size template. We bring years of experience with the major carriers to even the most complicated claims.
We work with all the major long term care carriers, including John Hancock, Genworth, CNA, UNUM, MetLife, and Banker’s Life. John Hancock is the largest of them and Genworth is close behind, and we know how each one prefers its documentation.
We send the required documentation to your insurance company every week, not once a month and not whenever someone remembers. That rhythm is what keeps reimbursement to the policy holder prompt and predictable.
We manage the carelogs, the invoices, and the other documents a carrier asks for, so your family does not have to. You are already caring for someone. The filing should not be yours as well.
Almost every policy carries an elimination period, a set number of days you pay out of pocket before benefits begin. It is the detail that surprises families most. We explain how yours works and track the days from the first visit.
Most policies pay a daily allowance, a fixed amount toward home care each day, rather than covering everything. We help you read what yours allows and build a schedule that uses the benefit well instead of overrunning it by accident.
To activate a policy, a senior generally needs a diagnosis of dementia or documented need for help with two of the five activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, eating, transferring, and toileting. We walk families through what that means in practice.
Step 01
You call (786) 268-6706 and speak directly with your local owners, not a national scheduling line.
Step 02
We visit your home to understand your loved one’s needs, your policy, and daily routines.
Step 03
We build a personalized care plan around your policy benefit, the daily allowance, and your family’s situation.
Step 04
We match a caregiver based on your loved one’s needs, routines, and personality.
Step 05
Care starts, and you get Transparency Room access to notes, schedules, and updates. We stay in touch as your loved one’s needs change.
Families across South Miami run into the same handful of problems when they try to put a long term care policy to use. Here is what we see most often, and what we do about it.
But for many South Dade families, a long term care policy is what makes staying at home affordable in the first place. Your loved one keeps the daily rhythm of home.
Cost is often part of this decision too. A facility stay adds room and board on top of nursing care. In-home long term care insurance support lets your family pay only for the hours and services your loved one actually needs, which keeps the budget in your control.
Your policy documents are the final word on what is covered, and they are worth reading closely before a claim is filed. For most families, though, the goal is simple: put a benefit they have already paid for to work, without taking on a second job in an already full week.
Most of it comes down to paperwork and timing, and neither should be your family’s job while you are caring for someone. That is not usually true. Many conditions that once required a nursing center can be managed safely at home with the right support in place.

Natalie came to home care as a Registered Nurse with years in emergency medicine across South Florida. Working in the emergency department, she watched elderly people discharge from a hospital or skilled nursing facility and return within months, often because the right support simply wasn’t in place at home. That experience, and the outcomes she saw that didn’t have to happen, are why she is here.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner, a credential that shapes how care plans are built at this office: around the whole person, not just the task list. Natalie’s role is overseeing client services and the quality of every care plan we develop. The clinical eye she brings makes a measurable difference, even in non-medical care.

Ricky Greene grew up in a Cuban-American household watching his mother provide full-time, unpaid care for his grandparents. She gave that care because that was how their family showed up for each other. Ricky built his career in long-term care operations because he wanted every family to have access to that level of care, not just the ones with someone who can give up everything to provide it.
His focus at this office is the caregiver side of the business: the hiring, the matching, and the oversight that determines whether the care actually works. When a family calls to say the caregiver feels like part of their household, that is the outcome Ricky works toward every day.

Brian Caldwell is Vice President of Operations. He runs the day-to-day side of the office: scheduling, caregiver coverage, and the systems that make sure the right caregiver reaches the right home at the right time.
Families rarely see the operational side of home care, but they feel it. Brian’s focus is on the details that make care dependable week after week, from consistent scheduling to the communication that keeps out-of-town family members in the loop.
We understand the needs of South Miami families and residents throughout the surrounding Miami-Dade County communities. Whether your loved one lives in a house near Sunset Drive or a condo close to the hospital district, our team can reach you. Nearby communities across South Dade fall within our service area too.
We Serve:
We work with all the major carriers, including John Hancock, Genworth, CNA, UNUM, MetLife, and Banker’s Life. John Hancock is the largest and Genworth is close behind. If your policy is with a smaller carrier, call us anyway, because the process is much the same.
We send the required documentation to your insurance company every week so reimbursement reaches the policy holder promptly. We manage the carelogs, invoices, and supporting documents, so your family is not chasing paperwork while also caring for someone.
No. Long term care insurance is a private policy your family purchased and paid premiums on. Medicare and Medicaid are government programmes with their own eligibility rules. A long term care policy usually pays a daily allowance toward the everyday home care Medicare will not cover.
It is the number of days you pay out of pocket before your policy begins paying. Most policies have one, and it is the detail families are caught out by most often. We explain how yours works and track the days from the first visit so nothing is missed.
Most policies pay a fixed amount toward home care each day rather than covering everything. We help you read what your policy allows and build a care schedule that uses the benefit well, instead of overrunning it by accident and leaving your family with the difference.
Carriers generally require either a diagnosis of dementia or documented need for assistance with two of the five activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, eating, transferring, and toileting. We help families work out where they stand and gather what the carrier asks to see.
We offer flexible scheduling that starts at a 4-5 hour minimum, so your family can get relief without committing to full-time care. This kind of respite care gives family caregivers room to breathe while a trained caregiver handles the rest.
Call (786) 268-6706 and talk directly with Natalie Caldwell or Ricky Greene. You don’t need a plan before you call. Many families reach out when they realise a policy they have paid into for years is sitting unused. We start with a conversation, assess your loved one’s needs, and build a care plan your family can adjust as things change.
