Meet the Team
Chris McNail
My grandparents moved into an assisted living facility when I was 18-years-old. I remember those visits to their facility well; having engaging conversations with people who had done amazing things while living through incredible times. It opened my eyes, and I believe it’s what started me on the path to senior home care and the duty of caring and companionship.
Though I had a successful career in private technology sector — I have nearly 20 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in IT — I didn’t feel fulfilled by my work; something was missing. I found that, although my work was interesting, nothing was more gratifying than helping people.
It was in 2011, when my father-in-law began developing symptoms of dementia, that I thought about senior care again.
Over the years, his care needs had grown. As I began to help care for him, I quickly became aware that I needed additional help. Unfortunately, I found that our community lacked options and resources for families like mine. There was a real need here, and I wanted to do something about it. So, in 2017 I left the technology industry and decided it was time to make a personal commitment to providing home care.
Here, I can make a difference to those seniors who want to stay in their home. And I can be that much-needed support to those family members who are going through what I went through not too long ago.
