To my Father, Happy Father’s Day!<\/p>\n

My dad is pretty awesome. He showed up–in a big way. He coached tennis, he cheered on swimming, and he helped with my homework. My dad has never stopped showing up and being there for me and my family. He encourages, challenges, and tells jokes, some of them are even pretty funny.<\/p>\n

Fathers are movers and shakers and identity makers, whether they realize it or not. I’m thankful my dad realized it and whole heartedly committed himself to his role as a father. He’s a great advice giver, he loves celebrating and gift giving, and he still is the person I call when I have car trouble.<\/p>\n

Now, my dad is also a “Papa”. His office makes the best play room, his play-doh skills are quite refined, and his ability to sing a song repeatedly delights my daughter. \u00a0Yeah, my dad is pretty great.<\/p>\n

If you have a great dad, like me, I hope you have the chance to tell him how much you love him. Happy Father’s Day!<\/p>\n
