Simpson and not the blind poet from ancient Greece), but it is actually something straight out of the playbook of billionaire investor <a title=\"Warren Buffett\" href=\"http:\/\/youtube.com\/watch?v=jLN2PYpzYXo1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warren Buffett<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Often, as I\u2019ve come to realize, simply finding a qualified specialist to delegate your tasks to can be in itself a difficult undertaking, which is why this shouldn\u2019t be seen as a lazy or easy way of dealing with something unknown and difficult.<\/p>\n<p>And for the elderly and their family, the unknowns are a reliable reality, with questions like:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Who\u2019s going to take care of grandma Carrie now that grandpa\u2019s gone? <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>How do we protect great aunt Myrtle from her manipulative caretaker? <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Who\u2019s going to get dad\u2019s Spanish doubloons? <\/em><\/p>\n<p>All of these and similar questions are issues commonly dealt with in the vast field of Elder Law. While some of these concerns can be taken care off by a motivated loved one who\u2019s willing to spend their time and effort, everyone involved might be better served by delegating these worries to a qualified Elder Law attorney, who\u2019s experienced in the nuances and peculiarities of this area of the law.<\/p>\n<p>What kind of things can an Elder Law attorney do?<\/p>\n<p>Well, most qualified and experienced Elder Law attorneys can help guide you or your loved one through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Personal care planning<\/strong>, by drafting powers of attorney and living wills. They can also help create a regular will or help in trust planning.
