One of the definitions of “family” provided by Merriam-Webster is “a group of people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation.” This accurately describes the Preferred Care at Home family<\/a>, united by a single purpose: to provide quality care at affordable prices while safe guarding the independence and dignity of the seniors in our community.<\/p>\n

Our family has the unique privilege of touching your family through our services. We see your love, conviction, and commitment to your family and we are reminded of why we do what we do.\u00a0 You are the daughter, who after a long day of work visits your senior loved one to clean their house. Your calendar is filled up with their doctors’ appointments and reminders to fill prescriptions. You are the son, who lives too far away to visit regularly, but you worry and call to make sure medications are taken and there is food in the refrigerator.\u00a0 You are the spouse, who manages your own health and well-being while juggling household responsibilities and the care of your loved one. You are committed to your family and we love and celebrate that commitment.<\/p>\n

You are a family caregiver and you understand better than anyone else what it means to put family first. At Preferred Care at Home, our family comes along side your family, providing you the rest you need. Housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation to doctors appointments are just a few ways we help care for you and your senior loved one.<\/p>\n

November is the month set aside to recognize and celebrate Family Caregivers. One way we strive to support you is by providing free resources through our Family Learning Center.
