These categories are helpful ways to explain the services we provide. Yet, the categories can&#8217;t show who we are.\u00a0 A list of services can&#8217;t show the compassion that is fundamental to all of our services.\u00a0 In this sense, what sets us apart is something that goes unsaid. In light of this, I want to take a few moments to talk about compassion, and how it makes up the core of who we are.<\/p>\n<p>Plato once said the following: &#8220;Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.&#8221;\u00a0 At Preferred Care at Home, we believe that seniors and their families are fighting many battles, some of which can seem incredibly overwhelming at times.\u00a0 Everyday, seniors all around us are fighting to age well, with dignity and independence, facing the challenges of disease, disability, and normal aging head on.\u00a0 Seniors&#8217; families often fight this battle right alongside their loved ones, trying to care for them in the best possible way while loving and managing a family of their own.\u00a0 We understand that this is a hard battle.\u00a0 In fact, that&#8217;s why we do what we do.\u00a0 Many of our <a href=\"https:\/\/preferhome.com\/locations\/blog\/owners-commit-to-quality-senior-care\/\">owners have made career changes<\/a> in order provide senior home care because they saw a need in their community.<\/p>\n<p>We ensure that this understanding and compassion is present in our caregivers as well.\u00a0 Our caregivers go through a <a href=\"https:\/\/preferhome.com\/locations\/careers\/caregiver-screening-process\/\">rigorous 7-step screening process<\/a>.\u00a0 They are experts in providing you or your senior loved one with quality care.
