We’ve all been the odd man out. No matter where you live, who you live with, or how many friends you have\u2014sometimes you just don’t want to do the same thing as everyone else. For some seniors, that something else is usually cards.<\/p>\n

Yes, card games. They’re the daily past-time of more seniors than baseball; yet, if you’re a senior who lives at home or has an at-home caregiver<\/a>, where do you go if you don’t want to play cards?<\/p>\n

Answer: you go to a senior center.<\/p>\n

Now, let’s pause for just a second. If you’ve never been to a senior center, you might be turned off by the sound of the word: it sounds a bit old-fashioned, after all. But don’t mistake your local senior center for a bingo hall! Okay, sure, there probably is bingo; but among other things, the new breed of senior centers offer much more than that:<\/p>\n
