{"id":6629,"date":"2009-02-27T01:33:32","date_gmt":"2009-02-27T01:33:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preferhome.com\/getting-important-papers-in-order\/"},"modified":"2009-02-27T01:33:32","modified_gmt":"2009-02-27T01:33:32","slug":"getting-important-papers-in-order","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/preferhome.com\/locations\/blog\/getting-important-papers-in-order\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting Important Papers in Order"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I lost both of my parents before age 40 and within seven months of each other.\u00a0 I remember a few years before that, my father would remind me, \u00a0\u201cI have all our important papers in one place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the time, I remember being very uncomfortable each time he mentioned it, but when it came time to find them, I was so thankful he had; it made it a lot easier for me.\u00a0 Everything was prearranged, right down to picking up the prepaid flowers for their caskets.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t an easy subject to talk about, I realize that, but I also realize it is the loving thing to do. In the end, wishes are honored and burdens are lifted off loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>When our Care Coordinator visits your home, she will gently guide you, if you haven\u2019t already, to talk to your loved ones and family about these issues.
