In-Home Care in Coburnville, MA

Caring for an elderly parent who’s lived in the village for decades gets harder when you’re commuting into Boston and juggling work. Piecing together a companion visit here, a household helper there, and someone for dementia support somewhere else wears families out fast. Preferred Care at Home serves the village and the surrounding MetroWest community with one team covering personal care, companion care, dementia care, live-in care, and transition support, so your loved one keeps their dignity, independence, and home.

Caregivers are matched by personality, not just availability. Bilingual English and Creole caregivers are available, and every caregiver clears our 7-step screening, including a background check. Our goal is helping older adults live independently at home for as long as possible.

Common Senior Concerns We Help Solve

Commuter Schedules & Coverage Gaps

We schedule visits around your workday from 1 hour to overnight, covering meals, errands, and transportation through Companion and Homemaker support.

Older Homes That Weren't Built for Aging

Caregivers help with bathing, transfers, and mobility to prevent falls, and a live-in caregiver can stay overnight when the home isn’t safe alone.

Public Aging Programs Are Limited

We start care within days, with no income test and customized hours, so Personal, Companion, or Homemaker help arrives when you actually need it.

Home Care vs. Home Health

We explain what private-pay covers and where Medicare home health and hospice fit, before you commit to Personal, Companion, or Transition Care.

The First Weeks After Hospital

Transition Care covers reminders, rides, and recovery routines from day one; Personal Care continues if mobility stays limited.

Don't Wait Until It's a Crisis

We start with a few hours a week and scale up; early Companion or Homemaker support often delays the need for live-in or dementia care.

Brent Auslander

Brent Auslander

My sister and I grew up with a father who was born in Germany and a mother born in the US. We enjoyed an active childhood with family trips to the mountains in the winter to ski and visits to the beach in Maine with my mother’s parents in the summer. In my early teen years, we also made trips to visit my father’s parents living in Florida. Growing up and being engaged with both sets of grandparents was such a gift. I always had been interested in healthcare and later worked in the medical diagnostic field. The products I sold helped to diagnose different types of sicknesses and were the first step in getting a patient back to health.

As I grew older, I watched my grandparents’ health decline, forcing them to move from their homes into assisted living facilities. I remember visiting with my father and his mother in a Florida facility where she wasn’t properly cared for hygienically. I couldn’t believe it and thought, how could this be? This memory stayed with me and motivated me to want to care for those in a vulnerable position and to safeguard their dignity and independence in the comfort and security of their own home. This led to the creation of Preferred Care at Home of MetroWest Boston. We want each elderly individual and family member to rest assured in our promise to deliver exceptional care with compassion, respect, and to be by your side, every step of the way.
