Medicare, “How does Preferred Care at Home fit in?”

When often talking with clients and their families, I have found that Medicare is misunderstood as far as home care is concerned. Many seem to believe that once they are 65 all their health care needs will be taken care of. Sadly, they quickly find out that it isn’t the case when they need assistance at home.

So, I thought I would help to dispel this myth in the next several entries to our blog. Starting with, what is not covered by Medicare, then, who is eligible for Medicare, and lastly what is covered by Medicare as it relates to home health care.

Where does our company fit in, and how and when do you need our services.
Preferred Care at Home is here when you need us:

• When you don’t qualify for Medicare, but are in need of homemaker services like shopping, cleaning, and laundry or personal care services like bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom.

• When you no longer are covered by Medicare but need ongoing services in order to maintain your quality of life with independence and dignity in the comforts of your home.

• When you are receiving Medicare, but it isn’t enough or additional services you are wanting are not related to your plan of care, we then come along side one’s Medicare benefit to give you that needed additional care to allow you to maintain your independence and dignity in your home.

At Preferred Care at Home the services such as homemaker or personal care services may vary with each individual Preferred Care at Home franchise office location. Depending on each state and home care license obtained. Each Preferred Care at Home franchise office is independently owned and operated. So feel free to ask if the services you are requesting are within their scope.

Next, I will discuss, “What is not covered by Medicare.”
