With more than 70 million Americans living with some form of heart disease, the concern for maintaining a healthy heart is growing among older adults. To combat the number one killer in America, Preferred Care at Home is taking a light-hearted approach with a traveling event called Crafternoon.
Crafternoon is a Preferred Care at Home initiative that encourages seniors to make Valentine’s Day cards and enjoy a bowl of heart-healthy oatmeal. “The concept is simple. It’s all about caring for your heart, both physically and emotionally,” says Jody Guerrieri, RN, Co-Founder, Preferred Care at Home.
